PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic bread maker capable of keeping a kneading state of dough constant at all times regardless of the variation in tension of a belt when assembled. SOLUTION: The automatic bread maker includes: a bread pan 4 freely detachably attached to the inside of a baking chamber 2 provided with a heater 3; a motor 5 for rotationally driving a kneading blade 7 freely rotatably provided inside the bread pan 4 through a belt 6; and a controller 15 for controlling the heater 3 and the motor 5 and storing the data of a cooking sequence or the like. In the controller 15, the information on the tension degree of the belt 6 is stored beforehand. Since the dough is kneaded too strongly in the case that the tension degree of the belt 6 is high and the dough is kneaded too weakly in the case that it is low, when the driving time of the motor 5 and the number of times, etc., are changed according to the tension degree of the belt 6 stored in the controller 15, the kneading state of the dough is kept fixed at all times regardless of the dispersion of the tension degree of the belt 6.
