PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum washing/drying machine in which an access door looks big and the horizontal width of an outer frame case body looks narrow to the eye. SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine has a freely rotatable rotary drum 30 whose rotary axis is made sideways, an outer tub 22 for collecting washing water and placing the rotary drum inside, the outer frame case body for placing the outer tub inside, and a vibration damping support means for supporting the outer tub inside the outer frame case body for vibration damping. The outer frame case body has almost flat both side face parts 4, a rear surface part 9, an almost flat and rectangular front surface part 2, curved corner surface parts 5 positioned between the front surface part and both side face parts and a freely openable and closable laundry access door 3 provided at the center of the front surface part.
