PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which hardly shows a reduction in the fit performance and hardly generates steaminess in the absorbent article which is equipped with an intermediate layer having a high-density layer and a low-density layer and has the high-density layer located on the side of an absorber and the low-density layer located on the side of a surface sheet. SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 is equipped with the surface sheet 2, a back side sheet 3, the absorber 4 arranged between both sheets 2, 3, and the intermediate layer 7 arranged between the surface sheet 2 and the absorber 4. The intermediate layer 7 has at least the side of the absorber 4 which is made of a non-woven fabric constituted of a synthetic fiber and has a two-layered structure including the high-density layer 71 and the low-density layer 72 which has lower density than the high-density layer 71. The high-density layer 71 is located on the side of the absorber 4, and the low-density layer 72 is located on the side of the surface sheet 2. The high-density layer 71 is thinner than the low-density layer 72. The synthetic fiber does not have a hydrophilicity in nature but is a hydrophilic fiber by imparting the hydrophilicity by hydrophilizing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
