PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iontophoresis method and apparatus which enable the efficient introduction of both of negative and positive ion components as for the components to be introduced. SOLUTION: In the dosing method by iontophoresis, a composition for whitening skin or antiaging containing ascorbic acid or its derivative and an natural component extracted is applied by iontophoresis for the inversion of electrodes. The iontophoresis apparatus has the first polarity structure body including the first electrode which enables the application of positive and negative voltages, the second polarity structure body containing the second electrode which enables the application of positive and negative voltages and a controller which enables the inversion of the polarities of the first and second electrodes.
