<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for balancing a motor vehicle wheel, which can use single parameter to determine thresholds of static imbalance quantity, dynamic imbalance quantity and overall imbalance quantity in the motor vehicle wheel. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes operations to mount wheel on rotary shaft of balance measuring machine, use well-known shaped detector, select balance plane and diameter, provide the balance measuring machine with information, rotate the wheel, calculate imbalance quantity, and also calculate entity and angle position of balancing weight mounted on the balance plane and diameter previously-selected by operator. In the method, acceleration time between two predetermined wheel speeds is measured during wheel rotation to calculate the threshold of imbalance quantity, and then mount the balancing weight only when the above acceleration time exceeds the calculated threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
