<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating fluid for forming, on the surface of a base material, a transparent film which has a high refractive index, high transmission, and no interference fringe, excels in mar resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, weatherability, light resistance, ultraviolet absorption capacity, hot water resistance, flexibility, dyeing properties and the like, and also excels in adhesion to the base material such as glass and a plastic. <P>SOLUTION: The transparent film-forming coating fluid comprises niobium-based oxide fine particles and a matrix-forming component. The niobium-based oxide fine particles comprise niobium-based oxide fine particles and at least one oxide selected from oxides of Fe, Ce, Si, Zr, Al, Ti, Sn, Sb, W, and Zn. The above niobium-based oxide fine particles have a core-shell structure where niobium-based oxide fine particles, composite oxide fine particles or other inorganic oxide fine particles are coated, as core particles, with at least one oxide selected from oxides of Nb, Fe, Ce, Si, Zr, Al, Ti, Sb, W, and Zn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
