<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nano-composite magnet containing Fe particles with appropriate particle sizes. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes steps of adding particles of a Nd<SB>2</SB>Fe<SB>14</SB>B compound to a solvent containing a surfactant for dispersion, thereafter adding a Fe precursor to deposit the Fe particles on the surface of the particles of the Nd<SB>2</SB>Fe<SB>14</SB>B compound, drying and baking to make the nano-composite magnet having a core-shell structure including a hard magnetic phase of the Nd<SB>2</SB>Fe<SB>14</SB>B compound as the core and a soft magnetic phase of Fe as the shell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
