<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a belt have tear resistance much more excellent than the conventional belt without spoiling flexibility and ductility required as a belt for an image forming apparatus, and to prevent wrinkles when the belt is manufactured by baking polyamide. <P>SOLUTION: The belt for the image forming apparatus is characterized by attaching fiber to its end. The tensile modulus of elasticity of the fiber is 10 to 1,000 Pa, which is higher than the base material of the belt for the image forming apparatus. The fiber is like a thread which is formed by bundling many filaments, and attached in such a state that a plurality of fibers is arranged. The fiber is any of polybenzazole fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber, glass fiber, ceramic fiber, and polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
