PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an austenitic stainless steel strip which has excellent fatigue properties. SOLUTION: In the austenitic stainless steel strip having excellent fatigue properties, the average crystal grain size on annealing at 750°C for 300 s is≤3μm, and also, the standard deviation thereof is≤2μm. Further, in the austenitic stainless steel strip for a metal dome type switch having excellent fatigue properties, the tensile residual stress of the surface layer in the material is≤50 MPa as for austenitic stainless steel subjected to final rolling or subjected to stress relieving annealing after final rolling.
