PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge device which can improve a precision of a striking position onto a recording medium. SOLUTION: A printing timing mark 62 formed on an encoder film 64 attached to a rotating shaft of a driving roller 11 for conveying a sheet of recording paper is read by an encoder sensor 66. A conveyance speed of the recording paper is detected by a Doppler meter 95. On the basis of a detection timing of a reference position of the driving roller 11, a pulse width of a read signal is corrected to make a difference small between a movement speed detected by the Doppler meter 95 and a movement speed derived on the basis of the read signal by the encoder sensor 66. An ejection timing of liquid droplets by a droplet ejection head is controlled by using the corrected read signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
