PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise caused by a pixel clock in a multibeam-type image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In an optical scanning system 100, a photosensitive drum 101 undergoes main scanning concurrently by a plurality of laser beams, and then an image clock generation section 110 generates a pixel clock in synchronism with the main scanning. A video control section 111 includes an exposure data generation means which generates exposure data of which the positional deviation in the main scanning direction of an exposure point of each of other laser beams with respect to an exposure point of a laser beam as a reference is compensated by the interpolation operation of image data. An LD exposure section 114 drives a laser diode of a light source for the laser beam according to the exposure data in synchronism with a pixel clock signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
