PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting the volume of water facilitating adjustment of the volume of water to be supplied to paddy field. SOLUTION: A support body 2 is provided with a shielding plate 3 at the lower side of which a water-flow hole 4 is formed, and a pair of locking parts 5, 5 formed inward each into an almost L-shaped one from both ends of the shielding plate 3 in a width direction and whose front inner surface comprises a locking surface 5A. A water-volume adjusting body 7 is provided with an adjusting plate 8 one side surface of which comprises a blocking surface 8A for blocking the water-flow hole 4, an inverse-L-shaped stopper 10 formed so as to longitudinally tilt via hinges 11, 11, a spring 12 biasing the stopper 10 so as to make the stopper 10 slant in a direction of the engaging surface 5A, and an operation bar 13 making the stopper 10 separate from the engaging surface 5A and connected to the stopper 10 to make the adjusting plate 8 move up and down. The water-volume adjusting body 7 is arranged in the support body 2 in such a condition as to make the blocking surface 8A face to the side of the shielding plate 3 so as to let the adjusting plate 8 slide and go up and down in the support body 2.
