<p>The invention relates to intra-oral X-ray dental-image sensors, i.e. placed in the mouth of a patient, with an X-ray source provided on outside of the patient's cheek for radiating X-rays in the sensor direction. According to the invention, the image sensor is attached to the first end of a short electric cable (22) having a length of between 5 and 20 cm and having a second end protruding out of the patient's mouth when the sensor is placed inside the mouth, wherein the second end comprises a light source (24) including LEDs that can be digitally modulated according to information from the sensor, the electric cable being capable of transmitting a control electric signal from the sensor to the diode for modulating the latter.</p> |
