<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating reinforcing processor for an optical fiber capable of performing a heating reinforcing treatment with a proper heating time for each fiber reinforcement member, efficiently heating/reinforcing without causing a stand-by time for the reinforcing operation, and imparting accurate tension by separately arranging the magnet of an adjacent fiber clamping mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The heating reinforcing processor is equipped with a heating part 4 for heating/contracting a fiber reinforcement member 3 capped on the fusion spliced part of an optical fiber. The heating part 4 includes a plurality of heating elements 8 and a fiber clamping mechanism 7 independent for each heating element, operating on/off by a press button switch 10, and individually heating the plurality of fiber reinforcement members 3 with a different timing. The fiber clamping mechanism 7 is composed of a tension imparting mechanism 11 for actuating tension on the optical fiber and magnets 13, 14 for imparting force for clamping the optical fiber. The adjacent magnets 13, 14 on one end are arranged in a position deviated at least 1/2 of the entire length l of the magnets in the optical fiber axial direction relative to the magnets 13, 14 on the other end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
