PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device which shows an improved maintainability of a mist suction mechanism and secures the hermetic sealing performance of a suction duct. SOLUTION: The printer 1 has an inkjet head 22 discharging ink droplets to paper P on a platen 23 and a suction mechanism 30 sucking an ink mist M floating without adhering to the paper P from the ink droplets discharged from the inkjet head 22 and sticking the mist to a filter 32. The filter mounting section 35 of the suction mechanism 30, a pair of openings 35a and 35b of a part where the suction duct 31 is split into the upstream side and the downstream side in the suction direction enables the opening 35b to move to approach or leave the opening portion 35a, and to keep the filter 32 mounted by the approach of the opening 35b to the opening 35a, so that the interface between the filter 32 and the suction duct 31 is hermetically sealed.
