PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable fixing performance by preventing the temperature drop of a pressure roll during a continuous printing. SOLUTION: Even if the heat of the pressure roll 512 of a first fixing unit 51 is absorbed into a recording paper sheet during the continuous printing, the pressure roll 512 rotates in the state that the pressure roll 512 contacts a heating roll 511 by one round during the time before the next recording paper sheet arrives at the pressure roll 512. The pressure roll 512 can be heated by the heat of the heating roll 51, and the temperature drop of the heating roll 51 is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
