<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for defining at least one of acquisition and processing parameters in a tomosynthesis system. <P>SOLUTION: The method 300 for defining at least one of a plurality of acquisition and processing parameters in a tomosynthesis image pick-up system 200 includes a process 310 of providing a user interface which enables a user to quickly and easily designate at least one desired characteristic of a recomposed image. Based on the image characteristic designated by the user, at least one of a desired set of acquisition parameters and processing parameters related to the tomosynthesis image pick-up system is automatically defined 320.
