<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle inspection system and method for performing inspection to determine a deficient unit with a drive unit for a hybrid vehicle combined with another unit. <P>SOLUTION: Firstly, an engine 5 of the hybrid vehicle is locked by an engine shaft locking mechanism 13. A motor MG1 is actuated by torque control while a motor MG2 is actuated by rotation speed control. In this state, control torque for the motor MG2 is acquired. Quality determination on the motor MG1 is performed based on this control torque. Thereafter, the motor MG2 is actuated by torque control while the motor MG1 is actuated by rotation speed control.
