PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reform costs lower, increase the degree of freedom of room layout in reform, and enhance workability, by changing the whole of a drainage system into a siphon drainage system in such a manner that the drain riser of the existing drainage system is employed as-is as a dedicated vent riser. SOLUTION: The existing drainage system is equipped with the drain riser. The reform system for changing the existing drain riser into a vent pipe changes the existing drainage system into the siphon drainage system after reform. A siphon drain riser 21 is newly provided; a suspended portion 24A of a siphon drain pipe 24, which is connected to wet area appliances 22a and 22b, is connected to the newly provided drain riser 21 with a predetermined head difference; the vent pipe 25 is connected to the existing drain riser 1; and the existing drain riser 1 is reused as the dedicated vent riser 31 for the siphon drainage system after the reform.
