A glaze composition for pottery is provided to be harmless to people due to being manufactured from natural material, form bright crystals on the surface of pottery, express a dark nutbrown color, and embody a glossless and fancy color. A glaze composition for pottery comprises 35-45wt% of shell powder, 15-25wt% of salt, 15-25wt% of feldspar, 5-15wt% of pine ash, and 5-15wt% of leaf mold based on dried materials. The feldspar has excellent cohesive force. The salt is used in order to induce a dark red color. The pine ash is free of alkali. The leaf mold participates the formation of crystals and is used in order to express a dark nutbrown color. The shell powder provides strength and is used in order to form bright crystals. |
