A high barrier biodegradable container, and a method for preparing the biodegradable container are provided to lower a manufacturing cost and to improve gas and moisture barrier property. A biodegradable container is prepared by extrusion melting a biodegradable polymer to prepare a film; vacuum depositing aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide or their mixture on the one surface of the film to prepare a deposited film; laminating a film comprising biodegradable polyester, biodegradable polyurethane or their mixture on the deposit film of the obtained film to prepare a high barrier biodegradable composite film; and laminating the high barrier biodegradable composite film on the inner surface of a container comprising a natural polymer-based biodegradable material.
