<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can control a conveyance state of sheets including a sheet which has not been normally output due to jamming or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Sensor processing in an A sensor (a process of recording information about a sensor state in a division monitored by the sensor in a sensor state table) is carried out (step (denoted as S hereinafter) 106). Sensor processing in B and C sensors is carried out (S110, 112). Sensor processing in D to F sensors is then carried out (S116 to 120). In double-face printing, sensor processing in a G sensor is also carried out, followed by S108 (S124). In a single face printing, sensor processing in an H sensor is carried out (S126); in normal printing, sensor processing in an I sensor is carried out, while in abnormal printing, sensor processing in a J sensor is carried out.
