<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive coordinate indicating device for easily indicating the coordinates of a necessary indication point. <P>SOLUTION: This coordinate indicating device 100 for searching the coordinates of a point indicated by a special pen by photographing the special pen, is provided with: a pattern recognition part 110 for extracting an arithmetic pattern corresponding to a specific pattern from image data acquired by photographing the special pen by an image pickup device 54 while at least a special pattern formed on the surface of the special pen is included; and a coordinate arithmetic part 120 for calculating the coordinates of the indicated point from the arithmetic pattern extracted by the pattern recognition part 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
