PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic weighing instrument for materializing weight reduction of a weighing instrument, area enlargement of a weighing tray, and stability in weighing. SOLUTION: This electronic weighing instrument 1 includes a weighing instrument body 16 composed of upper and lower cases 20 and 50, and load cells 42 housed in the instrument body 16 wherein the load cells 42 are fixed in either of the cases 20 and 50 to receive a load on the weighing tray 2. This weighing instrument 1 is characterized in that the load cells 42 are symmetrically disposed on left/right both side faces of the instrument body 16, legs 9 mounted on the load cells 42 are symmetrically formed on a lower surface of the weighing tray 2, openings 53 with the legs 9 put therethrough are provided in the upper case 50, and weighing is performed via the plurality of legs 9 of the weighing tray 2 and the pair of load cells 42.
