PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing and a slipping-down preventive structure for the roller bearing, which prevent an unexpected axial position slipping of the roller bearing assembled on a shaft. SOLUTION: In the roller bearing for retaining a plurality of needle rollers 10 being rotatable along the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 1 on the inner peripheral surface of an outer ring 11 or housing by a retainer 20, a groove section 2 is formed in a designated position on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 1. A projection section 25 in which its pointed head is connectably penetrated into the groove section 2 so as to stop axial slipping is formed on a bore side of the retainer 20.
