PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a favorable accelerating property by controlling the capacity of a torque converter. SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program which includes a step (S100) of calculating target supercharging pressure, a step (S200) of detecting actual supercharging pressure, a step (S300) of calculating an index of deviation between the target supercharging pressure and the actual supercharging pressure, a step (S500) of calculating the torque capacity of the torque converter in accordance with a supercharging pressure ratio (the ratio of the actual supercharging pressure to the target supercharging pressure) when the index of deviation is a threshold or greater (YES in S400), and a step (S600) of controlling the engaging hydraulic pressure of a lock-up clutch to change the torque capacity into a calculated one.
