PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing coating fluid which, when cured, can give a coating film having good surface scratch resistance, good surface abrasion resistance, a low refractive index, a low reflectivity, and improved water resistance and to provide a reflection-reducing material using the same. SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing curable coating fluid comprises a film-forming fluoro compound having a polymerizable double bond and modified hollow silica microparticles having subjected to hydrothermal treatment, modified with a silane coupling agent having a polymerizable double bond, and having a void fraction of 40-45% and an average particle diameter of 10-100 nm. The content of the fluoro compound is 40-80 mass% based on the total amount of the fluoro compound and the modified hollow silica microparticles, and the content of the modified hollow silica microparticles is 20-60 mass% based thereon. The reflection-reducing material is composed of a substrate and a cured film of the fluorine-containing curable coating fluid formed on at least either uppermost surface of the substrate directly or through a functional layer.
