PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray photographing apparatus capable of providing a properly-exposed film photograph even when the position of a lighting field is improper and an X-ray is directly received in a case where automatic exposure photographing is executed by selecting a plurality of lighting fields at the same time. SOLUTION: When an AND control method is used as an automatic exposure control method, and automatic exposure photographing of the front side of a chest part is executed, an X-ray is not blocked until an integration value of an electric signal on a lighting field right side 41a reaches an appropriate value set for the lighting field right side 41a without having a heart even if a lighting field left side 41b directly receives the X-ray because the position of the lighting field is not appropriate. On the other hand, when the lighting field right side 41a directly receives the X-ray, the X-ray is not blocked until an integration value of an electric signal on the lighting field left side 41b reaches an appropriate value set for the lighting field left side 41b having the heart. Accordingly, since the X-ray is blocked at appropriate timing in both the cases and the automatic exposure control is properly executed, a film photograph of appropriate exposure can be provided.
