摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector control type fast reactor of high reliability that is less apt to be deformed by thermal expansion or thermal stresses, and provided with a reflector exceling in structural soundness. SOLUTION: This reflector control type fast reactor 1 has a nuclear reactor vessel 7 stored with a primary coolant 5, a reactor core 2 arranged inside the nuclear reactor vessel 7 to be immersed in the primary coolant 5, the reflector 4 having a neutron-reflecting part 4a arranged vertically movably in the circumferential edge outer side of the reactor core 2, and having a neutron-reflecting capability that is higher than that of the primary coolant 5, and a cavity part 4b positioned at the upper side of the neutron-reflecting part 4a, and having a neutron-reflecting capability that is lower than that of the primary coolant 5, for regulating leakage of neutrons generated from the reactor core 2 due to vertical moving, and for controlling the reaction degree of the reactor core 2. The neutron reflecting part 4a comprises a plurality of layered metal plates 37.
