PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing apparatus efficiently reducing noise caused by crushing action with a simple and small-sized constitution. SOLUTION: This crushing apparatus crushes raw material in a treating chamber 3 while circulating gas through the treating chamber 3, is provided with casings 8, 9 of double wall structure consisting of an inner wall 8 forming the treating chamber 3 and an outer wall 9 covering the inner wall 8 keeping a clearance along the outer face of the inner wall 8, the clearance between the outer wall 9 and inner wall 8 is formed in a sealed inner space N and communicated with the treating chamber 3, and a gas flow-in port 10 for introducing gas from the outside into the inner space N is provided, serving as a gas introducing passage for communicating the inner space N to the treating chamber 3.
