STATE MONITORING DEVICE OF CIRCUIT BREAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state monitoring device of a circuit breaker, capable of notifying that a switching mechanism is not operated even though a movable contact is opened by electromagnetic repulsive force, that is, an exciting current reaches a level capable of performing the tripping of the circuit breaker. SOLUTION: This state monitoring device of the circuit breaker is equipped with a comparison means 201 to compare an exciting current value I obtained from a current detector 102 with a reference current value IRby which a movable contact starts a contact opening action by electromagnetic repulsive force generated between a stationary contact composing a main contact 103 and a movable contact, and to generate an output when the exciting current value I becomes not less than the reference current value IR, and a warning signal outputting means 204 to output a warning signal when the live current value I reaches a level enabling the tripping action of the circuit breaker based on the output signal of this comparison means and a signal obtained from an auxiliary switch 104 to detect the opening and closing state of the main contact 103, and the signal obtained from the auxiliary switch 104 still shows the closed state of the main contact.
