PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly access menu data of an optical disk which cannot be randomly accessed. SOLUTION: The reproducing unit of the optical disk on which the menu data including three hierarchical attribute data to be sequentially accessed comprises a table producing section 101 and a menu data accessing section 102, and the table producing section 101 sequentially accesses the menu data, recognizes the data, attributes, and ID, calculates an offset of the recognized data for at least one of the three attributes, and records the calculated offset into a table for every data attribute while the menu data accessing section 102 refers the table produced by the table producing section 101 and accesses the menu data.
