PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device capable of suppressing variation of one pulse on a feedback position after completing positioning and capable of attaining a technology for a perfect standstill which can be applied also to a present high multiplication circuit. SOLUTION: The positioning device provided with a pulse generator (5) for generating a pulse signal from a two-phase analog signal from a position detector, a position counter (6) for counting the pulse signal and generating a position signal, and a position control part (1) for controlling a controlled target on the basis of a position command and the position signal is also provided with: a speed signal generation part (7) for generating a speed signal from the two-phase analog signal; and a position signal correction part (8) for generating a position correction signal on the basis of the speed signal and the position signal, adding the position correction signal to the position signal and generating a corrected position signal.
