PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to make sure of neither the cut-off and the damage of jet pump flow-rate measurement piping periodically and repetitively during the operation of a reactor in order to enable the start of the preparation for the repair and mending of the jet pump flow-rate measurement piping. SOLUTION: When the cut-off and damage of the piping installed from a diffuser into a downcomer section among the piping for measuring the differential pressure between the inside of the diffuser and the downcomer section for the measurement of the flow rate of a jet pump in a pressure vessel 1 of a boiling water reactor is determined, the first differential pressure--the differential pressure between the inside of the diffuser and the downcomer section--and the second differential pressure--the differential pressure between a region below a core in a shroud and the downcomer section--are measured by differential pressure gauges 8 and 10, respectively, the correlation between the first differential pressure and the second differential pressure measured by the gauges is evaluated by a data analyzer 15 to judge that there are the cut-off and damage of the piping installed from the diffuser into an annulus section if the correlation is found.
