A flat panel display and a method of manufacturing the flat panel display are provided to project light using a refraction film even in a region where light is blocked to improve texture and compensate a black matrix using the refraction film to secure a sufficient aperture ratio. A flat panel display includes a first substrate on which a plurality of pixels are defined, a second substrate bonded to the first substrate, and a refraction film(120) formed on one side of one of the first substrate and the second substrate. The refraction film passes a first light inputted to the pixels and refracts a second light inputted to the boundary between neighboring pixels in a direction parallel with the first light. |
