<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which includes a plurality of electrifiers in order to ensure electrification capability, is avoided from stopping in the occurrence of abnormality in any of the electrifiers and is hence user-friendly. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image forming apparatus has, between a destaticization zone and a writing zone, at least two electrifying means 1 and 2 and an abnormality detecting means 24 for detecting any abnormality in the electrifying means 1 and 2, wherein if it is judged during image formation that at least one of the electrifying means 1 and 2 is abnormal, a voltage applied for electrifying is changed to continue image formation from the printing performed when the abnormality has occurred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
