POWER TRAIN FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power train for a hybrid electric vehicle, capable of setting an oil pressure in an engine lubrication system at a proper value before starting an engine 12.

SOLUTION: The motive power of an engine lubrication oil pump 76 is supplied by an electric oil pump drive motor. When starting engine cranking when shifting from an engine halt mode to an engine operation mode, preparation for operating the electric oil pump drive motor is made. A lubrication oil pressure signal is used to indicate that the maintenance of a filter 178 is necessary. The motive force of the electric oil pump drive motor can be supplied by a battery 22 for vehicle power train.
