<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in complexity and scale by providing required minimum auxiliary circuits for a failure of a switching element constituting an H bridge that controls driving of a DC motor. <P>SOLUTION: Two conductive lines (conductive line where two FETs are connected in series) are normally required for constituting an H bridge, three conductive lines are prepared in advance. If any failure occurs due to difference between an output current and an input current of the H bridge, the defective FET is identified. An auxiliary conductive line is used instead of the conductive line to which the FET belongs, ensuring a drive control of a DC motor 14 with a simple circuit configuration. In this case, the number of FETs used for ensuring drive control of the DC motor 14 can be decreased, thereby suppressing increase in complexity and size due to FET. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
