<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of effectively protecting a detection element from water, while securing high gas exchangeability. <P>SOLUTION: This gas sensor 1 has a protector 100 for protecting a detecting section 11 of a sensor element 10; the protector 100 has an inside protector 120 and an outside protector 110; and if definitions of the diameter (r) of a discharge port 160 opening in the inside protector 120 and the axial direction distance (h), between the tip 10a of the sensor element 10 and the discharge port 160 are made, then r≤2h/15+1/3 holds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
