PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for an air conditioner which inexpensively manufactures a rotary cleaning body, and secures uniform dust scraping-off performance, so that the compact and sanitary cleaning device of low noise, low frequency of dust disposal and easy maintenance are provided, and also to provide the air conditioner. SOLUTION: In this rotary cleaning body 34 rotated and driven by a driving means (not shown in a figure), and scraping off the dust attached to an air filter 21 incorporated in the air conditioner, the rotary cleaning body 34 is composed of: a rod-shaped shaft body 51; and raised fabric 52 spirally wound on the shaft body 51, and composed of a foundation cloth 52a, and a brush portion 52b buried in the foundation cloth 52a. An adhesive member 67 is formed continuously or intermittently in a streaky state in the longitudinal direction of the shaft body 51, thus the rotary cleaning body 34 is easily manufactured, and the cleaning device for the air conditioner is inexpensively formed.
