PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet unit which can generate strong magnetic field and has a wide application range. SOLUTION: A first yoke 30 forming slant surfaces 32, 33 to have a prescribed angle to one edge face 13 is provided to the edge face 13 of a magnet body 12. Consequently, demagnetization is restrained by reducing leak magnetic flux from the magnet body 12 by making the line of magnetic force coming out of one edge face 13 of the magnet body 12 enter the first yoke 30, and the line of magnetic force of the magnet body 12 output through the first yoke 30 is made stronger.
