PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an anode body for a thin solid electrolytic capacitor having improved equivalent series resistance (ESR) characteristics and leakage current characteristics. SOLUTION: In an element for solid electrolytic capacitors and the manufacturing method of the element, a forming body in which valve action metal powder is pressed and molded is sintered at high temperature in high vacuum to form a porous sintered compact, a positive electrode lead wire made of a valve action metal is welded to the porous sintered compact, and an oxide film layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode extraction layer are formed successively. In the manufacturing method of the element for solid electrolytic capacitors, the positive electrode lead wire is subjected to flat machining to a thickness 1/3 to 1/2 times the thickness of the porous sintered compact, the flat section and the porous sintered compact are welded, and the flat section of the positive electrode lead wire is 1/2 to 1 times the diameter of the positive electrode lead wire.
