PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument capable of facilitating application of antifogging agent, applied to the inner face side of a cover plate. SOLUTION: This measuring instrument stored with an indicating instrument D in an instrument case 1, provided with the cover plate 5 that comprises a translucent resin material in the front face side of the instrument case 1, and applied with an antifogging coating film F, comprising the antifogging agent in an inner wall face 5A side of the cover plate 5, has projection parts 15, 35 with a wall thickness dimension of the cover plate 5 provided to become thicker toward the inner face side of the cover plate 5, in the inner face side of the cover plate 5 applied with the antifogging coating film F; and boundary faces 25, 45 provided so as to gently slopingly connect step differences H1, H2 in between the projection parts 15, 35 and the inner face side of the cover plate 5.
