PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pump reducing the weight without changing the size. SOLUTION: In the electric roots type pump 10, rotors 22 and 23 are formed by a material having smaller specific gravity than a material forming rotating shafts 20 and 21, and second ends 20b and 21b of the rotating shafts 20 and 21 are pressed in recessions 35 and 36 provided on front end faces 22a and 23a of the rotors 22 and 23 on a timing gear T side. Shafts 37 and 38 comprising a material having smaller specific gravity than the material forming the rotating shafts 20 and 21 and positioned coaxially with the rotating shafts 20 and 21 connected to the rotors 22 and 23 are protrudingly provided on rear end faces 22b and 23b of the rotors 22 and 23.
