PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tsunami disaster prevention structure which has an upper surface of a low height and does not adversely affect the landscape. SOLUTION: According to the tsunami disaster prevention structure 1, a hollow dike body 3 consisting of a front wall 5, a rear wall 9, and an upper wall 7, is formed on an upper surface of a dike body 2, and an elevation plate 4 erected on an upper surface of a float 10 is built in the hollow dike body 3. Then the front wall 5 has an inflow slit 6 formed therein, for allowing only long-period waves to flow to the interior of the hollow dike body 3. The size of the inflow slit 6 is determined based on the opening ratio and the height. Then the upper wall 7 has an elevation port 8 formed therein, for elevating the elevation plate 4 upon inflow of waves from the inflow slit 6 and protruding the same from the upper wall 7.
