PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater discharge unit of a washing machine, which facilitates mounting thereof on a floor plate or the like, and allows the operator to obtain a connection status thereof to a drain pipe by visually observing the same from above a floor. SOLUTION: The wastewater discharge unit is formed of: a transparent connection member 2 which has a connection portion 21 thereof connected to the drain pipe P and is fixed to a periphery of a mounting opening Fa formed in the floor plate F; a cup-shaped member 4 which is squeezed into and supported by the connection member 2 to positively store seal water therein; an elbow member 5 which is squeezed into the cup-shaped member 4 and supported by the connection member 2, and connectable to a drain hose of the washing machine; and a lock member 6 which is mounted on the elbow 5 to be screwed to the connection member 2, and functions to pinch the elbow 5 between the lock member itself and the connection member 2. Thus by loosening the lock member 6, the elbow 5 and the cup-shaped member 4 are detached from the connection member 2, and the operator can visually observe the connection status between the connection portion 21 of the connection member 2 and the drain pipe P from above the floor.
