PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a small-sized precision component, which, when manufacturing the component, suppresses deterioration of the shape accuracy of the component and shortening of the service life of a forming die. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a small-sized precision component includes the following steps in the following order: a preform preparing step S10 of preparing a preform made of an AlSi alloy containing 5-40 wt.% Si; and a forging step S20 of conducting forging under the condition that the forging is started when the AlSi alloy becomes solid-liquid coexistent state and the forging is finished when the AlSi alloy becomes solid state. In the forging step S20, the forging is conducted in a vacuum forging apparatus provided with a forming die consisting of a non-oxidizing material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
