摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the failures that a back support rod needs to be large and thick and the shape of such a back support rod is complicated by simultaneously connecting a backrest and an armrest to the back support rod so as to support not only the load from the backrest but also the load from the armrest in a chair wherein an arm member and the backrest can be tilted back and a seat can be operated following the back tilting operation. SOLUTION: The chair C includes: a chair body 1; left and right arm members 2 and 2 supported so as to be tilted from a normal position U to a back tilting position T by the chair body 1; an energizing mechanism 3 for elastically energizing the arm members 2 and 2 in the direction of the normal position T; a backrest 4 supported at the tilting end part of the arm members 2 and 2; and a seat 5 whose front end part is supported by the chair body 1 and back end part is supported by the a backrest 4.
