A method for promoting healing of a long-bone fracture in a human subject in need thereof comprises administration, e.g. by subcutaneous injection, of human growth hormone (hGH), or an analogue or derivative thereof, to the subject in a dose equivalent to 10 45-100 mug hGH/kg body weight/day.
