When it is intended to select a specific skeletal muscle affected by the psychological state of a human subject from among a plural number of skeletal muscles of this subject, a first stimulation is at least given to this subject to make him/her unpleasant. Subsequently, the data of the movements of the individual skeletal muscles of the subject under the first stimulation are acquired. Then, a specific skeletal muscle is selected based on the data of the movements of the individual skeletal muscles of the subject who feels unpleasant because of the first stimulation.
